As a Real Pilates apprentice, you’ll be mentored by Master Instructor Trainers with a direct lineage to Joseph Pilates—based in New York, Louisville, and Indianapolis (through myself). This ensures your education reflects the authentic depth, rhythm, and system of Classical Pilates.

Classical Pilates by Mary is now being offered at Era Pilates in Indianapolis. Through her many years of training and dedication to perfecting her craft, Mary fell in love with the classical apparatus—the springs and resistance of these pieces brought an entirely new depth and understanding to her practice. Bringing this method to her clients meant going back to school. Mary is now a certified Classical Pilates instructor through Real Pilates NYC, a prestigious program preserving the original teachings of Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska. Mary is proud to bring this amazing Classical Pilates school to Indiana and to share the authentic method with her clients and future teachers.

At Era Pilates, our private sessions are designed to deliver a truly personalized experience—whether in-person or virtual. Each 55-minute is tailored to your individual goals, needs, and abilities.

As one of the only studios in Indianapolis offering the complete suite of Pilates apparatus—including the Reformer, Tower, Chair, Barrels, and Cadillac—Era Pilates provides an authentic, system-based approach that honors and enhances the full Pilates method.

Through the use of this specialized equipment, our instructors create individualized programs that promote strength, mobility, balance, and overall well-being. Every session is guided by the fundamental principles of Pilates, ensuring that all bodies, conditions, and experience levels are welcomed and supported.

Our highly trained instructors combine verbal and tactile cueing to provide precise, effective feedback. With deep expertise across the full Pilates system, they ensure every session is safe, challenging, and transformative.

Our 55-minute equipment classes focus on building flexibility, core strength, control, and balance for an effective full-body workout.

Our Pilates equipment classes go beyond the Reformer. Each class blends the Tower, Reformer, Barrels, and Chairs—giving you a true full-system experience in a small-group setting. With a maximum of four participants per class, you’ll enjoy an intimate environment with personalized attention from your instructor.

Prior to registration, we highly recommend booking an Initial Private Session for $49 or having previous Pilates equipment experience. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all classes. Pre-registration is required.

We offer prenatal and postpartum in a private setting. In your first session we will discuss your pregnancy to help design a program that is best for you.

Pilates during all phases of the pregnancy process can help clients strengthen their bodies while allowing the abdominals and pelvis to open and stretch in preparation for childbirth. Additionally, the studio can assist with postpartum recovery. These classes focus on engaging the abdominals and developing pelvic stability so that clients can find their new normal.
